Combine Exchange ProgramEpisode 4: Manhack Training

The Civil Protection officer is explaining to the exchange Combine soldier how to operate a manhack. He tells him, since it's his first time using a manhack, he'll go slow, and explains that that red button is the power switch and once he presses it, the manhack will activate after a three-second delay. The cop tells the soldier to remember to throw the manhack as soon as he presses the button, saying he doesn't want to lose a hand. The cop then turns his back on the soldier to grab another manhack, telling the soldier to sit tight while he demonstrates on that one.

As the metro cop goes to grab his manhack, a buzzing sound, followed by a splatter sound and a scream, are heard. The cop turns around and screams oh my God in shock at the sight of the soldier, who has lost a hand and has blood everywhere. The soldier screams at the cop to look at what he did to him. The soldier screams again, the cop screams in response, then plops into the ground as he faints.

Later, at the Civil Protection outpost, another metro cop prepares to give a briefing on practical jokes. The cop, holding an ice bag to his mask, stares at the soldier, who lifts his cut off left hand with his right as he exclaims come on, he thought they knew he was a cyborg. He stares at his hand, then slots it back in with a clicking sound and apologizes. End.
