I have never really said this before, but my font choice for Gman is my absolute favorite font work of this entire comic. Most of the font work compared to what I can do now… is atrocious. LoL
Good stuff. I am surprised on the number of missing words or incorrect tense. Could have used another round of proofreading. Otherwise, excellent comic with fun paneling.
The first time I read this comic must’ve been in 2006 or 2007. I was only 11 or 12 years old. You have no idea how much of an impression this comic left on me back then. This comic and all the others I read back then on PHW Online and Facepunch (many of them available here in Metrocop) inspired me to work on my own comics. I must’ve only finished 2 or 3 comics, unfortunately lost to time now. But at least I learned how to use Photoshop and mastered posing in Gmod! As for the comic itself, it’s such a bummer to see it really ended on issue #5. I thought my past child could get some closure, but I suppose you can consider the events of HL2 as the continuation of the story. The male_07 you find in the train wagon with the vortigaunt could be Markis Meriwether. Dr. Noland could be one of the residents of Black Mesa East. As for Jack, one can only wonder, but I suppose he ends up being one of the rebels that assist Gordon in the coast.
Now, to wait for the sixth and also last chapter… when’s it coming?

@gsp1995 Thank you for your comment. I actually asked BrashFink back in 2022 what his plans were for the rest of the series, if you’re curious: https://metrocop.net/articles/interview-james-brandt-brashfink-apostasy/
